I am convinced that nature can provide everything we need. The issue that we are stuck in is to figure out how to jumpstart a broken system best – and this is a bit different for every location and use. It is not accidental that some geographic areas were suited ideally for cultivation of onions or flax. Now we want to serve the whole bandwith (as marketgardeners) in one location. This is a big task in itself- plus on demand! I see that I can grow crops now that were unthinkable of in the beginning and the quality is better and more reliable. But the spectrum of diseases shifts every year (from virus and fungi things are going now to the bacterial end- see redox) and it is sometimes a bit breathtaking to go along with the flow as what I have figured out to work one year is not applicable in the next task. So if I were a producer I would run the engine of change slower – but not in a different direction.
