Here comes the last bit for today: I do not think that the high brix is “pathological”, as the plant stayed completely healthy until the frost hit it. No rain protection – not the slightest sign of phytophtora (also no light circles on fruit as sign of successful penetration of hyphae that have been stopped), no other leaf disease. The other tomatoes under plastic cover (bad aeration I confess, very moist nights) did get the first signs of phytophtora in the leaves about 3 weeks before frost came and usually for a plant without protection phytophtora hits at the beginning of August – plus 6 weeks season delay we look at the middle of September.
