Hi Jonathan!
Completely missed your post yesterday (getting old obviously)…
This is an interesting rotation you have within your vegetables and defenitely intrigueing.
We do grow about 10ha of vegetables and another 8-10ha of potatoes. Right now they are within the rotation of the whole farm, but putting them inside their own rotation is something we have discussed briefly before.
I do know of Johannes Storch, the mulching is very intersting and we experimented a bit with it in the greenhouses. But producing mulch for 10ha would basically shut down our livestock or even more, which is no option.
We do have rye back as a cereal because people requested rye flower, so I can make a couple crimping trials to get a better feel if we have enough season left after crimping for pumpkins and some squash. I like the idea of crimping since it reduces a ton of labor as well.
If you know Johannes Storch, you probably heard of Bernhard Hänni as well?
