I played around with it a bit with a group of people in a workshop but haven’t used it on the farm. It’s relatively simple and easy to use and takes ~30 minutes to run. One thing that was concerning is that we all used the cell phone app to check results on the same sample at the same time and got different results. Two of us got identical results (~73% bacteria), one persons number was a bit lower (~68% bacteria), and the fourth persons result was dramatically lower (~10% bacteria). There may be some issues with cell phone cameras reading the results differently. Just something to be aware of. As long as you use the same phone consistently maybe this isn’t a problem, but I do wonder if a dirty camera or fading light intensity over time from the camera light could throw off the results.
