Thanks for your question. I’ve had the same thoughts. We’re in similar circumstances: larger market garden (30+acres), lots of different crops, and highly intensive and for us, really profitable. We’re in Canada, near Vancouver BC.

I do think that we should be doing sap analysis. Why should that technology not be used on our farms even if it means we can eek out an increased yield of 5-10%.

I’m considering hiring an AEA consultant. If they can realize these yield increases and get us better quality food it would pay for itself in no time.
