I haven’t done a side by side trial of gmo vs non gmo corn grown in the same field per say. But I have grown only NON GMO crops since listening to a very influential Don Huber talk in 2019. I will say make sure you have good grass control as you don’t have glyphosate as an option on that weed front. And if grass gets away from you in non GMO corn, you better have a row crop cultivator or flame weeder available.

<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”>While I can not make any great claims in the </font>yield<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”> comparison I know I have less insect and disease pressure growing NON GMO corn then the </font>neighbors<font color=”rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)” face=”inherit”> triple stack corn. I have a hard time explaining it but I did walk the neighbors triple stack corn field with his permission and had a very different feeling than walking my own corn </font>fields. Last year it just felt baron and dead silent walking his corn field compared to walking mine right across the road. And it is fun to see the insects attacking the weeds rather than the crop growing in my fields.

I will say after doing a bunch of anecdotal trials I will never feed GMO crops to livestock again.

I wish you luck in this trial you are planning and hopefully someone else will speak up about their experiences. I remember listening to one of John’s podcasts a few years ago talking to some one who was comparing NON GMO to GMO cotton in a field. And the following year to the line where the different crops were different weeds growing. So like anything there is a lot of things going on in these systems.
