The one that comes to mind was a 3 year trial done in Lethbridge AB by Dr. Bill Hamman who determined melted urea applied as a foliar had a 4.2:1 efficiency over 46-0-0 applied to the soil. There are many others available but you have to dig for them. It is not a popular concept with larger corporations to hear that you can get by on 25% of the product they sell. So understandably these papers do not get much publicity as quite often funding for these universities and schools come from these large corporations. Does anyone else have any sources of trials showing the benefit of melted urea applied as a foliar over seed placed 46?
