Hi! I have thyme expanding between blueberries: it’s covering, shading the soil and the roots are just running on the surface, I think not disturbing the BB plants. And in blooming time I see very happy bees going around. I don’t know if thyme is an acidic loving plant, but it looks ok, maybe it’s tolerant. Absolutely to try!
