Spraying nitrogen is going to reduce plant exudates meaning the free fertilizer factory in the ground won’t be producing nitrogen for you as it can. @john.kempf spoke recently about rhizophagy, where research indicates its possible to provide 100% of the plants nutritional requirements (both macro and micro) through biology. I’ve been testing this using our fungal dominant vermicompost aged > 12 months for diversity and have seen very good results with vegetables in our market garden.
