I have a chance to have some molasses with corn steep liquor delivered . I can set the ratio of corn steep to molasses . After doing some research on corn steep looks like a great product . Would use it in furrow and also with foliar sprays especially melted urea . Any comments on the shelf life once it is mixed ? Or any other hazards with…

California Mugwort (Artemisia Douglasiana) is a native to San Diego. You could probably keep this mowed to about 6″.
So is
California Sagebrush (Artemisia Californica). Might be too bushy though.
Might be worth trying those, since they are already adapted to our salty conditions.

Do you know how deep your compaction layer is? Once you know this answer, you will want to go slightly deeper than the compaction layer with your ripper.
