Depends on your irrigation. If you have rain I would suggest applying it a day early so it can soak it to the root zone. If you irrigate running it in the irrigation water would be the best way. My next question is; seeing how I only have a field sprayer to handle liquid materials, and buying more equipment is not in the books at this time, would it be safe to spray the liquid solution on top of the soil surface and then go back and seed into that? Or would losses still be considerably…

I know nothing about pivots and how big the emitters are, but I’m wondering how you get a thin solution of blood meal that won’t clog the pivots?
I’ve wanted to run blood meal through my drip tape, but haven’t been able to find information anywhere on blood meal fertigation.

I’d suggest that the reaction in the soil using John’s mix is for the biology to consume the constituent materials and create amino sugars, which a stable forms of N that are still available to the plant.
