Arbuscular Mycorrhizae confirmed spore formation. AM fungi sporulate when crops reach full maturity and die/ go dormant. Confirmation of this cycle occurring is a good sign!

No, I don’t think it needs to be decimated. I’m more just using that strong language so that we come to terms with what is actually happening when we start a new culture.
I don’t have any idea how low of a pH you can maintain and still have a highly productive vineyard. Im skeptical you can maintain a pH of 4.5 and have a highly productive…

That kind of process is exactly what fumigation does, and many have used it effectively (if you disregard the environmental cost, of course). One of the forgotten benefits of “killing the biology” is that all their nutrients are released and become available for the plant, or other biology.
