Grafted vs Own-rooted Vinifera
Rootstocks are a big factor mostly for soil types/conditions as well as vigor and fruit vs. wood development. Phylloxera resistance mostly comes from the fact that rootstocks aren’t vitis vinifera, but from v. rupestris or v. riparia. Cover Crops Seeds - Organic or Conventional?
How important is the quality of the seed used for cover crops? I wonder about the downside of using seeds raised with chemical fertilizers, fungicides, glyphosate, etc. if organic seeds are not available.
I’m trying to keep all my inputs clean if possible but not sure how thorough I need to be.
