I have no idea how long a fungus can go from spore to fruiting but many of these are similar to the ones I saw in the pile as it progressed, and the few articles I looked at suggested a month, which would match well the timeline of six weeks since application. Has anyone here applied Johnson-Su compost in an orchard setting? I finished my first piles this fall (one year) and applied in Mid-November around 8 gross pounds per acre (set up a water extractor) with 3 gallons/ac of fish oil via microsprinklers.
