I would like to hear your inputs regarding the reliability of analysis results for leaf sap, while taking them every other week for repeated adjusted applications of foliar sprays to meet deficiencies / excesses. My understanding is that root exudates feed and attract IMO’s to assist in nutrient cycling. So can we say that biologically the best soil to grow a crop in is the same soil as the year before as it should have an abundance of the right IMO’s but we know that isn’t true with annuals, so what is it that affects the growth the following year?… Read more

I have solved the problem of a cover crop blocking my micro irrigation system by stringing the poly lines through the trees and using “upside down” emitters. I use Jain Dan Modular Inverted (green) and 2005 Aquamaster. Although it is a better resource for alley cover crop species, Greencoverseed.com is very useful in putting together cover crop mixes.

Hello Andrew,
Sounds like you need a hi boy sprayer. When I started with AEA last year I explained the equipment I had access to and asked what would be ideal to invest in. That was his suggestion, or a pull sprayer if that wasn’t feasible. After going through my second year now I don’t think anyone would custom spray this unless they already…

Just looking for others with experience incorporating foliar products into the broad acre field systems. My current challenges are having custom applicators apply using a high clearance sprayer the 20 GPA required, and 2nd to that lots of AEA products need to be pre-screened to a fine mesh size otherwise risk plugging applicator screens. …
