How to fix hydrophobic soil regeneratively
I found that my soil is hydrophobic and I am currently giving 10 mm per square meter of water per day to find it dry after a few hours, the water infiltrates well as it is sandy but it is not absorbed. there are a lot of wild brassicas and legumes and I think their oils have coated the soil particles. Hi Kent,
the answer is probably a bit late.
I see in your sap analysis that sugar levels are a little bit low and Nh4 it very high. I’m only guessing here but with the sampling date it might indicate that your wheat is a little heat stressed.
Also the manganese level seems low.
I am not an expert on hoppers but maybe this might attract them.
