Hi
Has anyone had experience with Sunn Hemp as a an N fixing cover crop? I am looking to combine it with lab lab, cow pea, buckwheat for some P release and aperhaos some tillage radish. Planting in summer after our winter crop harvest, objectives being N fixation and weed suppression.

That’s really interesting Tom. I have considered the potassium link from a different perspective.
What slugs love the most is wilting leaves. A pile of freshly cut comfrey or potato haulms attracts slugs like nothing else. When we consider that potassium is responsible for turgidity in plants then plants low in potassium are less turgid,…

Yeah same thing here – slug grazing starting on lettuce pre-harvest. Is it a potassium deficiency? I’ve only read a bit about this, but it seems potassium demand is very low until a certain stage of development, and then becomes high.
