I think they say 30-60 days? The stuff I get seems to be more like 2 weeks – 1 month, depending on moisture.

Nutrients involved in the formation of large roots
The visuplant webpage portrays short and forked carrot roots as a Mn deficiency, and I remember that Mineral Nutrition of Higher Plants mentions Mn as important for root growth – maybe taproot length specifically? I’ll try to look again. Good question, I hope someone else has more info.

What are the nutrients involved in the formation of large roots? i am talking about carrots or beets, if i want to harvest large carrots which nutrients should i keep under control? I Guess calcium for cell division but maybe there is something more specific

Sulfuric acid to neutralize bicarbonates
I’ve heard that sulfuric acid neutralizes bicarbonates in water. i think it depends on the amount of bicarbonates but does anyone know what amount is recommended? just add it to the water tank? I have plastic water tanks, could it corrode them?
