Has anyone looked at using an old hesston stakhand to make haylage? I had thought that the compression of the unit might be good for hay-in-a-day. I could put straw on the ground to create separation between the soil and the stack. Idea is to create silage for sheep in pasture, while not creating an outragous amount of plastic waste?

My 6000 square foot food forest on the right and the left is prepped for planting my extended medicinal herbal first (1800 sq-ft).

Wat’s the establishment time on this and what’s been planted? I’m always interested in seeing what people include in their food forests. Naturally it depends on your location. Looks great!
