I am looking for information or resources on how weeds can help understand an issue in a field, besides the standard response, “Your herbicide program broke early.”
I have observed that bind weed, bur cucumber, and morning glory, seem to be prominent in fields that I have over fertilized K. What does giant foxtail reveal?

I haven’t read it personally but this book correlates different weeds to specific nutrient deficiencies and perhaps excesses too.

I’ve got that book, Laila is referring to. In it, it says Fox tail is a sign of moist, badly-drained soil.
