Hello everyone. I’m looking for recommendations on managing pasture fertility on our cattle grazing operation. We bought this 75 acre place in 2019 and started grazing in 2020. It had been in CRP for over 25 years and had quite a bit of brush and trees that we have thinned (silvopasture.)

Great info Darren. Are you terminating the clover prior to seeding canola or just seeding directly into it? What is your setup like? No-till drill? All seed mixed in one hopper or multiple? With 3lb/ac I would assume you have more than one?

We actually met at the Spokane CD Food and Farm Symposium. I am down in Pendleton. I attended a workshop yesterday that was put on by OSU Extension and they’ve seen good results with intercropping peas with limited trials of clover.
