Cover crops are a fun habit of mine, LOl, sorta hard to kick????

It’s just such a tough thing to reconcile no-till and organic in the same sentence. I guess the middle ground is called reduced tillage? My big thing is keeping the ground covered for the winter. We can get a lot of winter and spring time wind and water erosion.

My current idea is to stay real shallow with tillage (1 to 2 inches) so as to not disturb the structure and life down below but still have a handle on weed control in the cash crops. I’m thinking maybe a Treffler TGA on the front of the tractor with a power harrow on the back would be a great combination. I’m looking for complete termination and soil prep in as few passes as possible to reduce disruption.
