After seeing legumes come back in our corn, I think about this lots too! In my case it’s alfalfa as forage for dairy cows. What about growing a legume @15″row spacing then drilling your annual grasses between the rows ie sudan, fall triticale…. 2nd or 3rd year corn… would something like this work?
