I have often found that having conversations where I try to convince people of something they are opposed to are often useless.

That said, it could very well be that they are fertigating with the wrong nutrients, or oversupplying the plant with something. They could be overspending, or miss-spending on their fertility bill and would not know it unless they did testing at crucial points in the plant’s growth cycle.
