That’s an interesting point about testing the brix before interpreting the plant as an indicator of something.
Also, sometimes he uses the colloquial french names for the plants instead of the latin name – nutsedge doesn’t have its own page, and is only listed as ‘le souchet’. Took me a minute to figure that out, lol. I’m sure I won’t find woolly croton (haven’t looked yet sorry), but I see that Sperge is in the same genus hopefully there’s some relevant info.
Harriet – could you explain more about the aluminum toxicity and nitrite? It seems like ducerf puts a large proportion of the listed plants in the ‘nitrite loving’ category.
