I believe that if I apply biological innoculants right now, I will be sending microbes to their deaths. The soil is tight and does not infiltrate water or facilitate gas exchange well. The calcium application is intended to flocculate and open up the soil to make it a more hospitable environment for a successful microbial establishment.
