I have reinoculated the roots with a bit of Bruce Mix, they began to curve down the day after as a whole, not just the tip. So I would not say it is not a loss of gravitropism initially as they should grow at different angles, but they go vertically up and even grow out of the water (I stopped the experiment after 1cm).

Thinking of soil this could be a mechanism of Endophyte recovery – I had a quick conversation with James, he thinks that too, but no research done.

So, what does that mean for irrigation? I am still not sure if it is the osmotic shock that led to loss of the endophytes, or if it may be something related to water structure. In Magnetoculture a strict refusal of artificial watering was regarded crucial for functioning. Magnetism structures water, but we also could see a system that heavily relies on Rhizophagy and is disturbed by watering.
