I wonder how large the difference between warm climate and temperate climate is. I started the reactors last year in fall. The latest one (October) showed fungal sporulation right in the beginning on material of the spruce bark mulch mantle. It is still not “cooked” fully. I got around to have a look at the material – will post it in a couple of days in a separate thread.

This year I was curious how summer heat speeds the process and filled one in May (but also with a fair proportion of green material), I pulled a sample from the middle of an air chimney – nearly done.

So I wonder if sporulation really sets in through nutrient depletion or triggered by climate?
