Michael, I’ve also been devastated by citrus leaf miner. Planted a new grove last spring and lost almost all the new growth to late summer leaf miner. This year is all-out war. I’m dedicated to regenerative so have spent all winter researching options. My first attack is adding an endophyte Beauvaria bassiana from JABB of the Carolinas. SPE 120 ES. The target is the worm after it is laid. The rate is 1 oz/A via micro jet. I’ve left out replicated strips to see the efficacy. Phase 2: I’m trying to find the pheromone disruption system that University of Florida claims works. I just can’t risk loosing another years growth. Step 3: working on Getting BRIX above 12 as outlined by Dr. Tom Dykstra who consults with AEA (incredible YouTube video for AEA). My grove is in South Georgia where I also need BRIX and plant health for cold protection (lost new flush leaves last night on grapefruit at just 29F). Please post any discoveries you make! I’ll consider your silica suggestion.
