I agree with everyone here that a more measured approach is reasonable – and even doing different rates in different areas to see the impact would be interesting.

I am particularly curious about you low CEC comment. We have a sandy clay loam with low CEC (between 2.5 and 3 in more tested areas)-the displacement of other elements wasn’t something I was considering so thank you for bringing that to my attention.
