I’ve been using Biome Makers DNA analysis called BeCrop. They report the numbers of species, quantities and translate that to “pathways.” With their help, the results are very interesting. I’m using the system to compare three treatments in a citrus trial: Regen vs conventional vs indigenous (organic fertility but no added microbes). 6X quantity of fungi after 7 months in Regenerative treatment. Bacterial shift but not as dramatic. To get more detail, I request the lab send the actual species and counts. Huge file of data but ideal for comparing treatments. My Regen treatment is up to 1,100 total species up from 680 prior to planting citrus (previously a cotton field ). I’ve plans to try the Biometer also.
