On our cherry crops we see the same things when we take samples too early. They can be slightly helpful, if you have info from previous years, but because they are so out of the norm to mid-season samples it likely isn’t worth the effort. Wait till you have fully mature leaves at the base for say a couple weeks and things will be much more stable, and the info more usable.
