Yes I think Aragonite is a great tool, I use it for available Ca in season. I still amend soils with limestone (we have high Mg) but at rates no more than 1000# per acre and well before the growing season. We use a fine grind limestone to assure as much surface area for amount applied. Ratios in the soil are important for biology to thrive (but huge changes at once to try to correct soils are a detriment for a season or two depending on amounts) . I’ve noticed my fields with close to optimum ratios also have the best biology. We also add carbon to our Aragonite applications.
