One day I will learn which program does what with shift-return. I could not edit the post, so second trial:
It would be interesting to see if you observe differences in litter cycling and if worms are influenced. I have seen perennial carpets of chives (moist, beside a sea), other alliums in high density only as spring ephemerals (where judging by the smell at least part of the sulfur ends up as gas – recapture in the leaves possible). I do not know if perennial carpets would compete or provide the sulfur in sum to the tree. Please observe and feedback!
