I suppose you wouldn’t have time to run the experiments, but I bet a thorough survey of existing farms could render enough data to see the difference.

When people say they applied an inoculate and saw immediate results, or had the best season yet, it always reminds of the first farmers that started applying ammonium and nitrates, and immediately had good results and their best season yet.
