I asked the US rep from TerraLife about comparing Oat varieties for reducing properties, but was told that they have not done that kind of research.

I did notice that the black Oat variety that they are using in their mixes is said to have better cold resistance and higher biomass properties than other Oat varieties, so that explains why they chose this.
