Angus, we also have had really good luck with sunn hemp and have seen it grow 6ft tall and produce 150# on N in 60 days – the N was measured with an above ground clipping sent to a lab for analysis. They key however is that those 60 days need to be the longest and the hottest that you have as this is a tropical plant. It is sensitive to both heat and day length. We are in Nebraska and sunn hemp planted in June will do what I described, but sunn hemp planted in late July or early Aug will struggle to get 4 ft tall… the plant does not freeze but the days just get too short and the evenings start to get too cool as it moves into Sept
