It is nice to hear someone else suggesting that iron is the key to slug resistance. I have a theory about this which is backed up by some casual trials I did last year. The theory is that higher iron level tend to leads to lower copper levels in plants and slugs need enormous amounts of copper. Has anyone else any experience of using iron amendments (naturally in a reduced form) to control slugs, or does anyone understand why this might be the case?
