    Hi Jason, we have observed this same trend but with an additional perspective on the other end of the curve. When nutrients are very imbalanced, the total concentration of nutrients remains low, exactly as you describe. Once nutrients become more closely balanced, nutrient concentrations increase, also as you describe. The next phase is where nutrients/biology/carbon dioxide/water/sunlight become almost perfectly balanced, and photosynthesis spikes. When this spike occurs, the concentration of minerals seems to drop dramatically, as there is a corresponding increase in rapid biomass development. Concurrently, we seem to observe much higher levels of plant secondary metabolites.
