A good possibility, I believe in reduced tillage organic, would be strip till using finger weeders in row with rollers/crimper/mower between rows. I had a conversation with a Kult Kress engineer last winter and he didn’t seem to think it was a good idea but I believe with the right tools it could work nicely. For example, there was a Italian version of the finger weeder I saw last year at the Great Lakes Expo that will work in “rougher” soil which may work in place of the traditional finger weeders in this situation.
