The difference on our crop this year with our runners was we had a bacterial mix made and each were dipped into that prior to planting.

The reason behind that was it allowed the quicker uptake of nutrients and the results so far was accelerated growth.

We have had our pickers in the field picking fruit, from stock planted in mid September when the weather wasn’t really warm enough. (we were late this season due to other factors) but the vigour and growth has been much more than we experienced previously and will be doing this in the future for all our runners.

Normally we trim every runner but this bacterial mix was well worth it.
