My attitude to spending a bunch of time looking into microscopes is that the pareto principle would suggest that you don’t bother, put a variety of good compost like johnson su, bokashi and hot compost with some well produced innoculants and then focus on the plant to feed the greatest possible amount of exudates to the biology.

The time saved can be used to improve farm systems that improve efficiency rather than trying to use low resolution tools to understand a system that we do not understand well to begin with, biology knows it’s job and we know it needs to be present and fed well so like any farm system simple is best.

Teaching people all this microscope stuff is a good way to flesh out an expensive online course, cynical I know but that is how I see it.
