When and how is the AMS/ATS being applied? Incorporated or left on the surface? Are you worried about volatilization loss, or loss as nitrate leaching in the soil, or both? Urea converts pretty rapidly to ammonium once it’s in the soil so I wouldn’t expect significant differences in risk of N loss between the two products.
