Thanks Harriet, I will certainly look at introducing my own local cellulose digesting fungi to my compost.
I know there is can be cons to the speed at which things are digested. Loss of ground cover is a very real problem for us in some bare areas. We also usually have hot dry summers here in Australia, so there is a high chance undigested residue will just oxidise and be lost from the system. I think it should be better to have the nutrients cycled back into the soil rather than lost to the atmosphere.
