Since this post I have been doing a lot of thinking on the subject. I plan on sticking to the no-till, I do believe this to be the best route for where I am at currently. However with an aggressive focus on reducing or eliminating Fungicides and insecticides – or at a minimum using softer chemistries and more biologicals. Cover crop management is requires a lot of detail in this system which over the last 8 weeks I have been reviewing and have gotten a better grasp I believe. Also, last year being dry was a challenge because 18 and 19 were record wet years for us so it was quite the shift. At the end of the day getting the crop off to a proper start becomes 100x more important with vegetables in this system in my opinion.
