That’s a good point, Andrew. We would be seeding the interseed mix probably around early Aug, so perhaps it would work better to use more cool season options. Peas and lentils as primary legumes?

I guess my question could have been worded better too… if planned correctly, I might have the option of interseeding with something like hairy vetch or fixation balansa clover to roller crimp into the next spring, but early Aug is about a month before those would normally be seeded for crimping. Or I could go for a mix that doesn’t overwinter but leaves heavy residue to no-till into.

I guess technically I should consider trying both/multiple and see how a couple different scenarios work out.
