It sounds like you are plugged in to the right sources. I haven’t used those products but starting in pots is advantageous over directly in the ground, although many growers plant cuttings directly. John, cuttings are in very short supply as there is a nationwide shortage on elderberry stock (and berries!) I found some from Rising Creek Nursery, Andrew Thomas. They had decent pricing and good selection.
