Haven’t tried Boron yet as a desiccant but it’s on my list of things to try and I very much hope it works as it sounds so much better than using glyphosate as a desiccant which I very reluctantly have to do some years as we can get a secondary flush of tillers if we get several weeks dry weather followed by several weeks wet weather. Then we end up with 2 crops in the one field about 4 to 6 weeks apart in growth stages which is nearly impossible to harvest without desiccating. I don’t see any way in which it would help with cover crop termination though as we are trying to terminate it before it goes to seed and it is most often still in the vegetative stage when we want to drill spring sown crops.
