Is it only about pH? I haven’t tried using Apple cider vinegar yet but I’ve heard it works best using Apple cider vinegar with the mother still in it. That makes me think it’s more than pH. Also I’ve heard pH of water has different optimal levels for different species of animals. Our water has a pH of 8.7 and super high alkalinity so we’re starting to play around with some different options to adjust pH down to at least 7.
