Thanks for the information. That is helpful. I hadn’t thought of doing a prescribed burn but that may be the best course of action. I could use it to knock back the perennials without chemicals or tillage and then I could immediately plant a fast growing cover crop to compete and start to choke out the perennial grass’s. At this point the field is primarily bluestem and indian grass so those species are the main concern.
